If you need to file a claim for a shipment that was purchased via RP USPS and this shipment does not have Extend shipping protection please follow the steps below:
IMPORTANT:
Either the sender or the recipient may file a claim for insured mail that is lost, arrived damaged, or has missing contents. Each claim must be filed within the allowed time period and include proof of insurance, value, and damage. See usps.com for more details.
1- Go to https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm#
2- Read their 3 steps. Filling periods, documents needed, submitting your claim.
3- Start your claim online.
NOTE: You must have or create a USPS.com account before you can file a claim. Your claim case will be associated with your account. Once you have filed a claim, you can see it in your Claim History.
