If you have a number of SKUs that can only be ordered in minimum quantities from the manufacturer, you can require these parts to be sold on the website for the required minimum quantity by following the steps below.
Step 1
Come up with a list of SKU's that you need to target to be sold in minimum required quantities.
Step 2
Download the template attached to this help article and simply add the SKUs, Brand, the minimum quantity required to be purchased from the manufacturer, whether selecting this option is required or not and add the message you want to display in the Product page as well as the calculation that will change the value of the product in the shopping cart.
Your CSV file should look like the image below as you get ready to upload it to the system:
NOTE:
OPTION_1 can by a string of whatever you want to display online on the product page as shown in the image below
IMPORTANT:
Please make sure that the formula under OPTION_1_VALUE is in the same format as display above in order to avoid incorrect sale price issues.
If the minimum package quantity is 10 then column OPTION_1_VALUE should read:
Package of 10|1000%
If the minimum package quantity is 50 then column OPTION_1_VALUE should read:
Package of 50|1000%
If the minimum package quantity is 100 then column OPTION_1_VALUE should read:
Package of 100|1000%
Step 3
Once you have added your skus and the sheet looks like the image above in step 2, you will need to upload your file under:
Settings > Bulk > Bulk Import
Be sure to also select the correct job type, update rule and blank field rule for your upload as shown in the highlighted options below.
Step 4
After the upload has been processed you could see some warnings but it does not mean that the entire upload failed. Proceed to check a few products in the sheet and you should see something like the examples below:
RP Admin:
You will notice that the section under "Options" will now include the data that you bulk updated.
Be sure to check if those options are required for the user to purchase these items and if you want to display this options button as a drop down or a button.
All done!
The product page on your website will now display the option to purchase multiple items for that SKU.
