This article will show you how to upload images from a zipped file in your computer to your Revolution Parts account using an FTP client. The steps below are for FileZilla but you may follow similar steps for other FTP client systems.
To bulk upload images via FTP,
1- Name the desired images to match the corresponding part numbers. For example, the image for part number 123456 should be renamed to "123456.jpg."
-
- Accepted File Types: .jpg .png or .gif
- To upload multiple images for a single part, add "_1", "_2" etc at the end of the filename for all additional images. For example, additional images for part number A96299 would be A96299_1.jpg and A96299_2.jpg.
2- Create a new folder on your PC (on your desktop, portable hard drive, or flash drive) and name it "partimages-StoreHash".
To obtain your StoreHash go to the Settings for the desired store to retrieve your StoreHash from. You can go to any web store selling channel, click on General and then copy the long number in the URL.
After including your StoreHash, your folder's name should look something like this:
partimages-c87decba3faca6b0d9249c14dg25488b
3- Add all of the appropriately named images you'd like to upload to the folder. Make sure the name of the images are following the format in step 1.
4- Right click on the folder itself (NOT the images inside the folder) and select "Send to," "Compressed (zipped) folder." This will create a new zip file of your folder. The zipped name should be named, "partimages-StoreHash.zip" (with your StoreHash).
Connecting FileZilla to Revolution Parts
5- Click the server icon on the top right.
6- Click New Site
7- Enter the host: dropbox.revolutionparts.com
8- Logon Type: Change this to "Anonymous".
Now click on "Connect"
9- You should see something similar to the image below. Click on "Uploads" and drop your zip file.
All done! You can see in the logs if the file was successful or not. If the file transfer was successful, you can now check the SKUs in your file and make sure the images have been updated in Revolution Parts!
These steps will work with other FTP Client systems but the interface will look different.
