Effective May 15th, 2016, Google is requiring that Google Shopping Feeds use GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) to identify parts in the product feeds. You may be wondering how this will affect your feed, and we did a little digging to determine if/how this will impact your site and your sales. Here's what we found out;
**Auto makers don't use GTINs** for the parts they manufacture. Since the GTINs Google is soon requiring simply don't exist for automotive parts, auto parts shopping feeds will *NOT* be affected by the new requirement. This means there aren't any changes required on your end, and there shouldn't be any reason to worry when the change rolls around.
