How to Open A PayPal Business Account (for eBay)

Go to PayPal.com
Click on the “Business Tab and click on the "All Business Solutions" link.
Click on the “Get Started” link.
Click on the “Select Standard” link and follow the prompts
- When Creating a new account – please be aware that recent changes to IRS laws require the addition of a Tax ID Number or Social Security number
- Additionally – You must ensure that said numbers (TIN/SSN) match the business name associated with the registered account
Add checking account information to link your bank account
PayPal will then send (2) small deposits to the referenced bank account. Once you have verified those deposits with your account you will then log into PayPal and provide confirmation
- OR you can confirm your bank account instantly if you have online access to your checking account. Steps for instant verification included below:
  - Log into your account from the PayPal website following initial registration
  - Click “Profile” at the top of the page
  - Click the “Bank Accounts” link in the “financial Information” column
  - Click “Confirm”
  - If you bank qualifies you will see a link
  - Select the “Instantly confirm you bank account online” radio button
  - Enter your bank account log in information
  - Click continue
- Once deposit, or instant verification have been completed, your PayPal account will then be verified and registration complete.

You can upgrade from Personal to Business
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click “Upgrade” under your name at the top of the page, then click “Upgrade Now”
- Select “Business Account” or “Premier Account” and click “Continue”
- For a Business account, enter your business information, then click “Submit”
Upgrading from a Premier to Business Account
- Log in to your PayPal account
- Click “Profile”
- Click “Personal/Business Information” under Account Information
- Click “Upgrade”
- Enter your business information, then click “Submit”
