Undefined Shipping? Below are a few reasons that can impact why your order has undefined shipping.
- Shipping address is not valid or incorrect format
- No valid shipping options for the order or address
- Order/Part dimensions exceed carrier restrictions
- Incorrectly configured shipping settings
Each reason is broken out into more detail below. Most of the time the reason for undefined shipping is simple. It may take a little research on your part but it will allow you to resolve any undefined shipping issue much faster.
Shipping Address is not valid or incorrect format:
Shipping address is not valid:
Often times a customer will incorrectly spell or miss type their billing or shipping address. By reviewing the shipping address and making sure that it is a valid postal address should be the first thing you check. Within the order you will see right below the billing and shipping address a link that says “View Map”. This link will direct you to Google Maps which will locate the address. This is a fast and easy way to see if the address above entered is in fact a real address.

Incorrect address format:
This will typically occur for international orders. International postal address can sometimes be formatted differently than a standard US postal address. A customer must format their address in the fields provided to return a valid shipping option. Some international address examples are below:

Make sure that international address are formatted in the correct fields. Country, Zip code, State/Province and Street Address are required any blank or incorrectly entered fields may return undefined shipping.
No Valid shipping options for the order of address:
The shipping options that you have available on your site may not ship to your customer's address. If no available shipping options will ship to your customer's address shipping will be undefined. You can check what shipping options are available to send to your customer's address by entering the shipping destination into the carrier’s website. Each site will provide the methods that ship to your customer address. The links below will tell you what options are available to your customer's address.

Order/Part dimensions exceed carrier restrictions
Make sure that the product weights and dimensions are not exceeding the real-time methods you have available. General guidelines for the top shipping carriers are below.
Fedex: Maximum size is 108 inches in length and 165 inches in length and girth. Weight guidelines: Individual packages can weigh up to 150 lbs.
UPS: UPS package when its length plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 130 inches, but does not exceed the maximum UPS size of 165 inches. Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds in addition to the Large Package Surcharge.
USPS: Except for Standard Post and Parcel Select, no mail piece may measure more than 108 inches in length and girth combined. Length is the measurement of the longest dimension and girth is the distance around the thickest part (perpendicular to the length). The maximum weight is 70 pounds.
If you have the custom oversized shipping method enabled. Orders that exceed the above restrictions will default to that method.
Incorrectly configured shipping settings
Make sure to check your shipping configuration and see if you have valid options to send to your customer address. Make sure you have enable the state or country under your real-time method that you customer is looking to ship to. Also, make sure that you order weight falls within your method parameters. You will need to make sure that all weight ranges are covered.
