Shipping via DHL is a great way to ship internationally, with low rates and great service. Setting up DHL is just as easy as using it. Follow the steps in this guide and you'll be up and running with DHL in no time.
To add DHL shipping,
- Log in to your RevolutionParts store.
- From the home page, click the helpful link "Shipping" at the bottom.
- Click on the "Shipping Configuration (Advanced)" tab.
- Refer to your DHL account information to fill out the shipper account number field under the "DHL Gateway Settings" header. Once the field has populated with your information, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
- Now that your DHL account has been added, go to the "Real-Time Methods" tab of the Shipping page.
- Click "Add a new real-time shipping method"
- Select either "Canada" or "International" as the destination region to ship using DHL. Configure your shipping method as desired, then click "Save Changes" to save the new DHL shipping method.
That's it! Now, customers shipping to Canada or overseas can select DHL as their method of shipping when they check out.

Integrating Your DHL Account
To integrate your DHL shipping sccount,
- Log into your account on manage.revolutionparts.com
- Click the account settings gear on the top-right corner of the page
- In the left-side menu, click "Shipping," then "Carriers"
- Click the big green "Add New Credential" button on the top-right corner of the page
- Select DHL from the Carrier dropdown, name the credential "DHL" (or something similar), and add your DHL account number. The "DHL Account Country" dropdown can be left at the default of "United States."
- After you've filled out the fields, click the blue "Add Credential" button
That's it! Your DHL account is now integrated, but is not quite ready to quote DHL rates to your international buyers. The next step is to add the DHL Express Worldwide shipping method!
Adding the DHL Express Worldwide Shipping Method
Even if your DHL account is integrated, you won't be able to offer DHL shipping to your buyers until you add the method. To do so,
- Log into your account on manage.revolutionparts.com
- Click the account settings gear on the top-right corner of the page
- In the left-side menu, find and click on the desired store to expand it, then click "Shipping," then, "Methods"
PLEASE NOTE that because DHL is an international carrier, you can only add DHL Express Worldwide to international shipping zones.
- If you already have an international zone configured, skip to Step 5
- If not, click the "New Zone" button on the top-right corner of the page. You'll need to have a zone compatible with DHL shipping (either Canada, Europe, or Rest of the World)
- If you don't already have a region configured for your desired zone, add it by clicking the "New Region" button at the bottom-left of the zone.
- If not, click the "New Zone" button on the top-right corner of the page. You'll need to have a zone compatible with DHL shipping (either Canada, Europe, or Rest of the World)
- In the desired region, click the "New Method" button
- Set the "Method Type" dropdown to "Carrier Calculated," then set the Delivery Type to "DHL Express Worldwide."
- Configure the method as desired, then click the "Add Method" button
That's it! Buyers in that zone and region will now see the DHL Express Worldwide shipping method on orders that meet the method's criteria.
