How To Mark a Part "Contact for Price/Availability"

If there are parts that you would like to have customers call you prior to ordering, you can set the "Call For Availability" option in the part attributes. This will remove the ability for buyers to purchase the part, but will prompt them to contact you if they're interested in buying it.

  1. First, log in to your Control Panel and click the "OEM Part Info" button in the Helpful Tools bar at the bottom of your dashboard.

  2. After that, select the manufacturer of the part you're trying to update (if you only sell one manufacturer's parts, this will automatically appear).  Enter the part number of the part you want to update, then click "Get OEM Part Information."

  3. After that, the part's information will appear in the window. Scroll down to the "OEM Part Attributes" section.

  4. Change the drop-down menu on the "Call For Availability" option to "True."

    • Choosing this option will not allow the customer to add the product to the cart, and will replace the "Add to Cart" button with a message saying, "Please call for availability."

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save Changes" button.

Presently, marking a product "Contact for Price" is not an option on the Control Panel platform. To upgrade to the new Manage update, contact the RevolutionParts Support team!

  1. First, log in to your Manage dashboard on manage.revolutionparts.com, then select the "Products" section from the top-menu.

  2. In the search bar in the left-side menu, type in the product number you would like to edit, and either click the search icon or press "Enter" on your keyboard.

  3. When the part shows up in the search results, click on the pencil icon to the far right of the product line to edit the part's information.

  4. Once you're on the product page, scroll down to the "Global Attributes" section.

  5. Change the "Contact" drop-down menu to your desired option.

    • "Not Required" is the default for all items, and your customer will see the normal product page.
    • "Contact For Price" will show your customer the list price, but will not show a sale price and will not allow the item to be placed in the cart. Clicking "Contact for Pricing" will direct the buyer to your website's "Contact Us" page.

    • "Contact for Availability" will show your customer the list and sale price, but will not allow the item to be placed in the cart. Clicking "Contact for Availability" will direct the buyer to your website's "Contact Us" page.

  6. When you're finished, click the blue "Save Changes" button.
