An eCheck is an electronic funds transfer from a bank account to a receiving party. It's like writing a check, but they are sent electronically. When you receive an eCheck payment you can treat it like any other payment and can be captured or refunded. The payment type will typically read: "PayPal" as shown below.
Refunding a payment from your Revolution Parts end whenever you don't have enough funds sitting in your PayPal balance will occur in that refund being sent as an eCheck. This means that PayPal initiated an ACH transfer from your bank account to your PayPal balance to cover that refund.
It usually takes up to up to 7 business days for an eCheck to clear when issuing a refund so you will see a payment status reading "Pending".
Please Note: refunds via eChecks to your customers will always reflect a "Pending" status within your Revolution Parts dashboard and will never update to a "Success" status as you might expect. You will need to go to your PayPal account or payment processor account to verify that the refund has cleared.
